saab rear lights and reverse wierd shit...

Hey guys I have a 97 saab 900 t and all of the rear lights flicker (except brakes(that dont even work)). When i put on turn signal or 4 ways. Just the rear lights. I have taken out all bulbs and cleaned them and used a little bit of electrical spray. Nothing happened. Also when I apply brakes rpms drop alittle then spike a bit back to idle. also when i put it into reverse, (it is a 5 speed) without engaging clutch, it starts to stall out on me. Im just about to go check the battery for the alternator to see if that could be the problem and could be a vac line for the reverse but Im really stumped. Anyone have any suggestions I’d really appreciate it. - Thank you

check your grounds… all of them.

Yup check your grounds, in your trunk area, they are in the spare tire well and just below the tail lights. Alternator maybe on its last legs, whats the voltage read out on your battery when the car is running?

It had 14.3 which is good. I talked to Darryl from a.s.s. and hes going to help me out, he said it could be a ground off of the alt somewhere, just got toget it towed there. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it.

A.S.S is FTW! Darryl is a great guy and will definitely take care of you.

did anyone install any towing wires? for a trailer with lights?

i know there is a relay for this should be white under the hood. but double check first could be orange.

i have seen the switch go bad too for the hazards

i dont think so but i have someone with a flatbed coming to pick it up today, thanks though
