But… on the schedule I don’t see MSG listed as a channel. Hell, half of the games don’t have a channel assigned! Should I be concerned?[/LEFT]
no since the sabres arent the #1 showing on msg, they will post up times and channels when they become available.
i’ve been counting the day til preseason for over a month now…

So, if MSG isn’t gonna show them… HOW DO I WATCH MY HOCKEY!!! Winter time = need hockey every other day.
lol i didnt say they weren’t going to show them what i meant was that msg will post the dates and channels when they get them, the sabres aren’t the knicks, nets they are a regional team that msg agreed to air. Plus msg is slow with updating shit.

Aren’t the majority of preseason games not on TV? I seem to remember last year only one or maybe two were televised.
I’m really not excited about the Sabres this year. Basically all we did to change our non-playoff team was trade Campbell for Rivet, which is not an improvement.
We still have a coaching staff that seems incapable year after year of getting the PP working.
We have a decent backup, so if you believe Miller’s stats were off because he was overworked maybe that will be better.
We got Teppo back, but the first big hit his chest may pop open and his heart fall out on the ice.
We still have Max, which I see as a plus, but we still have the same coaching staff who will put him on a 4th line of meatheads and wonder why he’s having trouble with his fast skating/passing style of play.
Meh, I’ll still probably watch the majority of the games.

and why so much shit talk about the coaching staff? did we not make it through the first 2 rounds of the playoffs with this coaching staff a few years in a row? were we not the #1 team in the whole league with this coaching staff?
we had one bad year, and you’re going to forget that for a few years there were only a couple teams that made it farther than we did or with better records than we had?

Short version? Because leagues evolve. The Sabres were built for the “New NHL” where clutching and grabbing was gone. Those were the years they did great. Now that the league is heading back toward the “Old NHL” with clutching and grabbing, and teams have adjusted to the Sabres style of play, the Sabres coaching staff hasn’t adjusted accordingly.
The foreshadowing was when Toronto would consistantly give us a hard time in the Sabres record year. The proof was when a much larger and tougher Ottawa destroyed us in the playoffs that same year. Last year teams took the formula Ottawa used to beat us and Anaheim used to beat them and ran with it.
EDIT: We’ll have to wait and see. I’d be really happy to be wrong.

Anyone know if all the preseason games are shown if you have the nhl package for direct tv? Probably a stupid question but im just wondering
