Selling Gift cards on ebay

Why is it that Gift Cards sell for almost what they’re worth on ebay? People can just go to the store or order one online. Am I missing something?

Your findings are wrong:

I just searched for gift cards and saw the first one and when it ended it showed the second one at the top of the page. I looked a little more and it happens for a lot of the auctions for all types, a walmart one for $300 went for $302. Doesn’t make sense to me.

So now the question is why do people pay MORE than what they are worth?

I just meant as opposed to selling for much less. My findings aren’t wrong that just proves my point more.

Coupons and Discounts. If there is a 10% discount code floating around the $300 card would only cost $270.The markup around xmas time was insane, with the MS cashback promo hitting 30%.

Yea, I didnt mean wrong, my bad.

And the discount code thing does make sense…

Feedback. people are dumb.
