serial to USB?

I want to connect an old spaceball(serial only) to a newer machine that doesn’t have a serial port. Has anyone done this? I’d have to use a serial driver for it obviously.

I use a Keyspan serial to USB adaptor for the connection between my laptop and pcm tuner. Works good, no complaints.

I have never had problems I use USB -> Serial to program router/switches.

I have heard some tuning software has a hard time with these though.
