what did you do to get the error, and more importantly, whos email is webmaster@siteground, in other words, u got that error on siteground lol, not on here… as far as I know, but tell me waht you did to get that error lol

ok well no one was on this server until like 12-2 pm today so last night doesnt count
and like I said that error happened on siteground site, not here or it woulda said “webmaster@shift518.com” its just an automated script that generates the email

Idk about anyone else, but so far it seems fast and stable…
I havent checked the stats or anything im gonna wait a week before i bother… but I think the server will handle the forums np…
and we are even running an active grand theft auto san andreas online server 24/7 with 30 players on schedule and no probs on either this forum or the server yet…
BUT might move the game server to a faster web server i want less ping…
What kind/how many servers do you have? And what kind of connection? At first I thought you had like FIOS with a regular computer converted over to a server but it seems like you have quite the setup to run a site like this and a game server!
nah i wouldnt try to run a server from my house, forget that
i have a few servers,
1 dedi with 2gb ram quad core xenon 600gb or so in RAID and 100mbit connection with 2TB bw per month
this server is 1gb ram dual core cpu (i forgot the exact specs on the cpus cuz i honestly have so many specs remembered in my head that i do forget those i dont mention much) and 300gb of totall hard drive space, uhh 10mbit connection i believe.
I actually will go and see what i have total, besides those i have accounts on GOOD shared servers which i run gom-team.com/gom-domains.com/peerlessconception.com/a bunch of other sites etc from and they are holding up well.
The game server doesnt take much usage to be honest, but if you want lower ping on the server your gonna want better server specs ,thats what i learned the hardware. so if i have a better server , with root access might as well use it.
besides the linux servers, i have access to, but i dont pay for, a full windows 2003 server thats also in a data center like the linux ones… i was thinking about running a liveforspeed.net racing server off it, but never got around to it, i got so many lil projects its just not worth the hassle
as far as the hosting, fremont cali and dallas texas and my gom team server is in london UK
