I was wondering if any of the shops with dynos have had experience with tuning a haltech standalone system. I will probably be able to get it pretty close but I definately want to do some tuning on the dyno. I would like to go to a shop that has toyed with haltech systems before. It is an EK6 setup. It is on my 88 300zx turbo. I believe that it has the “optional sensors” that control the wastegate opening, and boost control. I might go to new era due to convienence but I don’t know if they have worked with haltech systems. The PO street tuned it but I wouldn’t be rebuilding the engine if it was right. Any help would be great.
I can’t speak for Mike at New Era, but I don’t think they tune the Haltech and I doubt he’d want to learn with a customer’s car at risk. Dyno rates by the hour are reasonable there though, so maybe you can bring someone in.
Innovative can handle it.
I know that I could figure it out at new era but I think that it would take a while for me to fumble through the system the first time.
yup. Innovative does Haltech
yep mike@innovative can tune it
