To the best of my knowledge, most (if not all) the helmets with built-in slider shades are not legal for most (if not all) clubs. IF you plan on using it on track days, make sure it is either Snell certified or whatever rating on the helmet meets the club rules.

Yea its cool…mine was operated on the very top…that part was kinda annoying but all i had to was push a button and it would shoot up really quick. But i wanted to get a nicer helmet…thus the RF-1000

I use a HJC AR-10 for track days and skippy stuff, should have gotten something with a chin spoiler but I am so short that the f2000 pretty much shields my whole head. Pretty nice helmet, IMO.
To be honest, I really don’t wanna spend that much for a new Shoei RF-1100, but I really like they have a shell size for xxs and xs. If I go with another HJC, I probably can save $100+ dollars…
P.S. Forgot ro add the AR-10’s shield mechanism sucks, other than that, its pretty good.
Its a VR2 mirage, I really like it alot… its very light and there isnt any wind noise at all but it does float a little when you pop up for the corner. All and all its a grate helmet, little pricey but its my head i dont care what i spend. I use it for both car and bike track days.

thanks dude… i sold my bikes when i moved back over from cail because i didnt have enough room on the truck lol… but i plan on buying another one come spring, ive never not owned a bike sense i was 18… nothing like it man
i hade a 96 fzr638r (beefed up fzr600) for my track bike and a 03 gsx-r 750 for the daily rider bike, i rode that thing everywhere in cali its so nice out you can almost ride all year round.

Got a Shoei RF1000, instead of the 1100. The $100 I save will help pay for my new sprocket and chain set…

So it turns out that Shoei had pulled all the RF1000 from their warehouse, so you can’t even order them anymore. Instead I will be getting a HJC FS-15 whcih is about half the price of the RF1000.

i got mine last year for xmass, never got to wear it yet still new in the box i love it but it was $
i bought mine off a friend who owned a bike for approx 3 weeks…never licensed,registered, or insured ran from the cops on a cbr 600 with almost no experience riding :rofl
he gave me a MAJOR discount on the helmet…:hug
