no it’s true. in some states if no one else is around to trip the weight triggered stop light, and you are on a bike, you can treat the stop light as a stop sign.
He is not. Bikes are not heavy enough to trigger the weight detection at red lights that are equipped as such so some states allow bikes to use red lights as stop signs

Traffic signals are not triggered by weight. Inductive-loop traffic detectors are the wires you see implanted into the asphalt at the stop areas of intersections.

f the bikes too. rain or shine, try to pull in front of me and your ass is getting tipped over. waiting in line and puting up through the cars is fine, but coming up and cutting off a car waiting to pull out.

I believe there are different ways of detecting a car at the intersection. The point stands though a motorcycle isn’t big enough to let the light know there is someone waiting to go.
Sorry if I’m an asshole but dont ride the bike if its going to rain. Also just like every other motor vehicle, you wait your turn like everyone else. When you get to the stop sign at the end of the road like everyone else does… you have to wait as well. so while you pull up before all the cars in line and every bike lines up, now we have to wait on your ass to all go.
Newman, not really jealous… just think its bullshit they think they have special powers because they can squeeze through cars. I almost had my car hit a few times because someone decided to cut between my car and the one infront as I was pulling up. Its just not safe. Also with everyone walking and having the cars lined up, that just takes up more room for people to have less to walk on, causing more danger. Sorry but I dont feel like being held up 2 hours for someones careless move in getting hit by a car or hitting a bystander.
I wish NY had the red light laws that other states have but lane share laws are retarded.

If you went to walmart and there was one bike in every parking spot and you had to park all the way in the back, you’d be crying that they should park more than one bike in a spot. Every American just hates when someone has it “easier”.
Motorcycles are smaller. They have the advantage of being able to fit through spots that your car can’t. They have the disadvantage of getting soaked when it rains or getting dead when someone in a car pulls out in front of them. Let them take advantage of their size. It’s highly unlikely that it’s any more dangerous than driving out of there if there were NO bikes at all.

Haha I agree with this. People in cars fucking around with their cell phones, GPS, iPods, and god knows what else are a 100x more dangerous out there than a bike shooting around a few cars. You aren’t supposed to use shoulders on the road to go around a car turning left but if your car can fit, people do it. Bikes just can do this more often.
Also, there are people in cars, walking, and on bike. What ever one you choose to use, you usually hate the other 2.

oh, and burn outs and high rev’s on a bike. look, youre not special because your bike rev’s up really high and you can stand up and hold your bike in place to spin the back tire. Everyone and anyone that has a bike can do that same damn thing. Find something new and stop being a douche. Its old.
