silly southerners are at it again....

Come on Ilya… come to the battle field, I have some points I want to make.

Joey your killin it… hahahah

Yup I agree fully, when a law is already well defined, and you are the person responsible for upholding that law, also you are a public servant meant to serve your community, you can’t inconvenience them like that. Personal bias has no place in a clear cut matter is all I’m sayin.

A doctor wasn’t elected into office by his/her peers.

The U.S. Supreme Court tossed out race-based limitations on marriage in the Loving v. Virginia case. In the unanimous decision, the court said that “Under our Constitution, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual and cannot be infringed by the State.”

Now, you’re going to say this law applies to the people getting married, not the person doing the ceremony. Why are they allowed to ‘not be infringed upon’, yet he isn’t? There is more to being a justice of the peace than just doing weddings. Much more. Weddings are like 1 out 20 things they can sign off on (if not more). The couple found another one and had no issues getting married. They should have did this immediately and just let the man have his own opinion, since most likely, by state law he isn’t REQUIRED to do the marriage. They are on a mission to have this guy lose his job over something so retarded.

This guy did nothing wrong.

These people are now hell bent on making an example of him because he ‘hurt their feelings’.

“We’ve retained an attorney, and we’re in the process of taking the next steps in order to make sure that (the justice of the peace) loses his job,” Beth McKay told CNN’s “American Morning” on Monday.

Messed up.

Now, I’m not saying he is ‘right’ in thinking that blacks and whites shouldn’t marry…but this is in no way a big a deal as this retarded couple is making it out to be. Just go to another JP. The man is human and has an opinion just like everyone else. If you people don’t want people doing their job based on opinion, then what are we going to do about all of these officers who basically predetermine if you’re going to get a ticket or not based on how you interact with them, etc.? We all know they do it. Should we go into an uproar about that too? Or how about judges calling cases? Do you honestly believe that there isn’t a LITTLE bit of opinion in their rulings?

saw this idiocy on the news. facepalmed so hard i had to go to the hospital with a fractured skull and a concussion after I woke up in a few hours

i actually lol’d a bit :rofl

So this justice of peace has been elected into his office for 34 years now? He must be doing something right.
