I wish the US show seperated itself from what the UK had done years before…but i still love cars and its always entertaining no matter what.
Even the UK Version has done repeated events of previous seasons with similar cars. Its more about the hosts and their personality and friendship with each other that makes it so much better than the other Top Gear series (USA/Russia/Australia)
Not to mention the way the Brits use the English language is worlds better than the way we do…

Someone must have caught the filming with the chopper. We went back down to Erie Basin Marina and it buzzed the place.
The US one started getting better with the Alaska special. I think it was the first one where they started to show some chemistry together.
I still hate Adam Ferrara though.
They all gave us a wave at one point. At least they acknowledged that people where there, lol.

On a side note… just saw a report that says Jeremy Clarkson made $21 million last year on Top Gear. How amazing that must be to get paid that much to drive the worlds greatest cars and go completely flat out in them.

Dave, Dan (gotdubd) did an interview with Channel 2 (I had already done 3 so we pressured him into it) from the tailgate of my truck, lol. I have pics & video.
When are they getting off the skyway and trying to float those things in the water is my question?
One of the news stories said they’re here through Thursday, so my guess is tomorrow.

Ok here we go. Got to the marina in the morning and the crew was prepping the cars:
This was the sunken sail boat I mentioned earlier:
I walked down to the end of the marina thinking I could get them going around and out while they were in the water… but while I was there the cars took off towards the skyway. Would have been a great spot though:
On the way back to my truck, tpgsr showed up and we decided to head towards the south side of the skyway. That’s where we found gotdubd under a bridge, lol. The three of us then walked up onto the skyway… yep, it was closed:
We then moved our cars down further on fuhrmann blvd to get closer to the staging area, which worked out quit well. You could see the hosts and the cars (kinda)
After a while a good amount of people showed up. There were a bunch of guys (and girl) from NYSpeed that made there way there:

I’ll post the video I have soon. There wasn’t too much to see while we were there, I did catch Adam waving to everyone and him & Tanner riding the fan jeep up the skyway. MKGenesis was sitting at Pearl Street Brewery trying to see what she could from there and we were relaying back and forth when the cars would go.
Beyond that I guess we need to wait until the show airs to see more. Unless someone can confirm that they’re shooting to Thursday and the cars will be in the water?
