I have never been a fan of tape backups and hope to never work with them again (currently don’t) I will say this if you can avoid backup exec by all means do so, it is garbage. R1soft is much better (again imo).
There are plenty of reliable cloud backup solutions and you have small enough data needs that it won’t be a lot.
You said no budget but are we talking 2k or 100k? There are a lot of nice options out there but if the budget is less than 5k disk is def out of the question.
