Small Engine: Horizontal shaft/Comet torque converter

park it at the top of a structure, latch on, hit it…win!

Isn’t that what snowmobiles are for?

would it be worth it to disassemble the motor and turn the shaft down to 3/4"?

I actually found a 1" drive torque converter so I may get that 11.5ft-lb briggs to use w/ it. I would rather buy that briggs than that shitty china one…

That will be ballsy. In to help, help move some snow around, and assist in urban shredding.

Yeah kinda, but you can’t really use a snowmobile downtown. I don’t think I’ll get too much shit for the winch…

just put those on your back while on snowboard…basically the same idea you are going for but sans any wire/rope

seen some guys in Colorado rocking out with one of these on the side of a mountain. how ever they geared/clutched it . it was pulling them pretty fast.

ok i just checked the honda is being used and the briggs blew the head gasket out and there is a snapped off bolt in the head… and smokes :(, if i come across one soon ill let you know… unloess somehow you wanna make a riding lawn motor work… its a 16 1/2 hp turbo off a craftman

pretty sure most lawn mowers are vertical shaft

i know. thats y i said unless he wants to find a way to make it work.

You could try this place too. Was recommended by a small engine forum, but I never used them.

Why not find a snow blower and make a PTO for the winch? That way you can use the blower to move the snow into position, and then just set it up for pulling. Might not be as mobile though, but could look less out of place.

Just buy the sled on here for the motor and CVT and have tons more power. lol
