Smallest bypass style fuel pressure regulator?

For the bike. Has to go down real low for a carb. 4psi or so. They’re all freakin huge. Also has to have a boost reference port.

I thought THIS mallory one looked small, but the data I am seeing says 3x3x9???

Sure doesn’t look 9" long there.

Second thought… running this inside a fuel tank? I can’t see why it would hurt anything…

yeah … that 4309 is the smallest

Any real world dims?

i used a holley on my s10…that one was probably 2" long 2" tall and 1" wide…something like that. hell of alot cheaper then the mallory.

not sure why youre using a regulator on a carbed bike though? wouldnt it just be gravity feed from the tank?

i havent been following the bike build at all, which could explain my not understanding of why you would need this.

he’s putting a baby turbo on it lol

Yeah need a very low 1:1 regulator for boost. But no in tank low pressure pumps will go high enough pressure so I can’t run a deadhead regulator. So I’ll run a walbro and a bypass regulator. It’s gonna heat the fuel some but not much I can do.

The fuel lab one I sent you is probably the smallest one available. Nevermind, it doesn’t go down to 4psi

ask choda … he has a 4309 on is car

I called fuel lab and they made an interesting point about the boost reference. If using in the tank the vac port is not a total seal and fuel could actually flow into the boost reference line… Might have to try and hide it somewhere on the bike.

They said they may be able to make a custom one that will go down to 4 psi, though. It is very small. Thanks for the heads-up, Don.

 Really though, you’ve done so much, you should just make your own.

i have a 4309 on my camaro. its pretty small. i could hide it in my hand. the dimensions they gave you are for the box it comes in lol. its realistically 1.5x1.5x3

Pull the guts out of it, and rebuild the housing. There’s not a ton of excitement in them. They make the housings bigger so they can have shitbag NPT or NPTF fittings so you can thread in some home depot brass ends or AN adapters.

That Mallory unit is tiny.

Probably too big, but I have standard Weldon A2040’s on the shelf, as well as our new proprietary version, the A2040FPTS w/integral sensors built into it.
