I first saw the video when someone (Jam I think) posted LATFH.com.

So sitting around bored on this Saturday afternoon I decided to e-mail this dude:

Hi,

I am throwing a graduation party for my daughter Sarah and would like to know if your band would like to play at her graduation and how much do you charge?

His response:

We would love to play her graduation. We’ve played sweet 16 birthdays and graduations in the past and it has been a blast! What date would you need us to play and where exactly would we be playing? Are you guys in California?? Please let me know a few more details.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Yes, I own a mid-sized nightclub in downtown San Diego. I would like to plan her graduation for the last Sunday in July. The party will be at the club and it will be a private party of about 300-350 teenagers. Family and close friends will be attending during the day and friends in the evening. At 8:00pm you guys hit the stage. You are welcome to come early if you would like food and/or warm-ups.

How do you usually work your gigs? Since there will be no alcohol or door sales, I would have to pay you directly. I will also pay for your transportation.

I haven’t heard any of your music but this needs to be a clean show. No cursing or racist lyrics.

How does this sound for you? Also, how much does your band usually demand for a show like this?

Since you have a club I’m sure the sound will be great. :slight_smile: in the past for graduations we’ve played for 1k plus we get to sell our merchandise as well. Please let me know if this works for you. We leave for tour August 6th so this will be a fun kick off show. We live in Orange County so getting to San Diego won’t be a problem at all.
