I wouldn’t suggest dropping that kind of cash on a bike in upstate NY unless you had your own place and were very financially stable. Big waste of money. But I’m not a bike guy, so my opinion differs from those that are.
Joe’s dad’s friend had a custom Harley, he’s been riding since he was a kid, and he’s in his 50’s now. He put down that Harley a year or so ago. It happens. Even with the best riders. Don’t be fooled.
Nah, blue. He lives back in Rochester.
I know a Jack from Rochester with a blue R1. Haha…doubt it was him though.
oh i’m not saying it wont happen, i’m just saying that just like you said… beginner or experienced, when its beyond your control theres nothing you can do. I do what i want. I have self control and if i can get a good deal on possibly a used 848 next year, or new… whatever i’m feelin i might take the plundge. You only live once… and not go get emo on you, but right now i dont have much to lose. So i’m going to get whatever i feel like getting… and ride at a speed comfortable to me, until i get use to it. I pick things up pretty quick.
I give up.
Man up and buy it.
Prove us wrong :
I am not waiting up for you in the twisties.
Arnt you a pro…j/k :lol
see thats why new riders crash. i’m not riding w/ anyone if i get a bike. People are more tempted to push their limits and go outside their comfort level with others around. If you guys are hammering turns i’m gonna want to follow. how’s that for mature. Bihatch!
this is some serious lolz :rofl
i dont get it? I do, do what i want. How does that mean i don’t have self control? If i see candy in the road, and i want it. i’ll get it. But if there is a truck coming, i’ll use my self control, and wait for it to pass before i run out and grab it.
Hows that?
Swifty, don’t eat candy out of the road. That’s yucky.
Well i was going to keep it till wed. night and give it to you…\
but since i do what i want, and i have no self control according to oleg, i’d probably eat it before i got there. :
Sure. I give you chips and dip. You give me gross road candy. :sad
better than road head i guess…
:wow
:crackup
:idiots :lol
so anyways, this is boring. someone bash me for wanting a 848 again.
This is what goes on behind the scenes…
[14:10] krazykaos137: oh i jsut saw your reply, lol thanks alot
[14:10] JustJaySwift: lmfao
[14:11] JustJaySwift: check our that reply
[14:11] krazykaos137: i don’t give road head to honda drivers.
[14:11] JustJaySwift: lol
[14:11] JustJaySwift: thats rough.
self-control is expressed in not doing something even though you want to.
avoiding the truck to get to the candy = self-preservation
ignoring the dirty-ass candy laying on the road even if you want it = self-control
Alright so I IMed the ex whose first bike was a brand new R1. So as a person in the same boat as you, this is his opinion…
"tell him to go for it. Here’s my honest opinion. At the time of my purchase, the R1 was the #1 fastest production litre bike. I have more miles on now than people have been riding for 6 years. Me going down was a fluke, not a lack of responsibility. Once you’re higher than 600, ANY bike can lay you on your ass, and in fact, people are more opt to think they are “safer” on a 600 and have a false sense of security when riding one and end up laying on their ass in no time.
the only difference between a litre bike and a 600 is top speed, you crank the throttle on an r6 or r1 and you’re pointing at the sky either way
after a 600, power doesnt matter. You dont crash because of power, you’ll crash for doing something stupid- doing wheelies or taking blind corners with gravel on the road. I can’t think of a single incident where power was the result of a crash.
besides, ducati’s are teh seks. F-yeah I’d get one"
