My friend hit a deer with this truck last month and rather than watch it sit in his yard and rot I bought it off him to fix up.
It took a hit to the front (no airbags were deployed or anything like that)
I’ll start off with the basics, its a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
Black, 2dr, 5 speed, 2WD, LS Package, 4.3 Vortec V6
PW, PL, PS, Cruise, Sony Explode CD, Air, etc
There’s a little over 114,500 miles on the truck right now with no known drivability problems. Clutch, brakes, etc feel great and a new water pump with lifetime warranty was just installed.
The tires are in ok condition but it will need front tires soon.
The body is in good condition and paint still shines good, the underside is clean imo and the only large rust bubbles are on the back of the roof (shown in the pics). Also the pass fender was painted by an amateur but it is not noticeable from more than 5 feet away
There is however some tiny dents on the body (most aren’t noticeable except for one in the rear fender lip) and rock chips which are expected.
The interior is clean aside from the carpet being a little rough and all the wires are run for a system if you wanted to put one in. I will also include the amplifier that is currently in the truck with the sale.
There are no check engine lights on but the air bag light is on for what I believe is a faulty sensor in the front of the truck (easy fix) I’m assuming the sensor was bad from the core support they pulled from the yard for me as it wasn’t on before and no bags were deployed.
Overall this car is in good condition for the year on miles but as stated earlier it has 114,500 miles on it and is a used car so it is not perfect. I’ll let the pictures below tell the rest.
ill get a hold of you when I get my taxes back in 2 weeks… i owe 5k on the accord so I really doubt ill feel like paying most of that off just to drive a 2wd blazer, ya know what I mean? if it was 4wd I would be all over it. my buddy used to have a 5 speed 4wd blazer. bad ass for sure.
Actually you wouldn’t have a problem as LS1’s are odbii. Unless you wanted to make it carbed for some reason. Swap in a silverado ECU and you’re ready to rock.
If this truck was around 1 year from now I’d buy it for this purpose, but the timing isn’t right. I might know someone interested though.
