If u knew him like i did, u would know that when he is interested in something he will research that particular thing until he can put it together blindfolded with his arms on top of his head while pedaling his bike doing a wheeleee!!!
i went in on a DSM beater with my roomate, bought a 91 tsi awd for 300$, beat the pants off it, and sold it. it was a good shell, but we killed the motor, bought it, 1 cylinder had under 100psi of compression… but it was fun.
not the pearl one. we bought a red on grey leather for 300$, it was whooped.
and “you guys” was me and my roomate.

the pearl talon is still around, its back home in orlando now, sitting in the garage with an indecisive owner
we had some cars there. anthony had 2 evos, one roomate kevin had an evo mr, another had an RS, then kevin got a saleen mustang, anthony at any given time had atleast 1 other dsm other than the talon, my collection of cars, dans S4 for a while, random hondas… looked like a chop shop. our neighbor across the road was an old hotrod guy, 31 ford street rod, chopped, small block, was building a 41 willys with a big block chevy in it.
