All pics taken with GoPro Hero2 (except the last one, that was my iphone)

The hike is 8 miles.

The first 6.5 miles took a hair over 2 hours.

The last 1.5 miles took 5 HOURS. The snow at the top was almost 3 feet deep. At one point we were crawling so as not to sink into the snow. The climb up the side without the cables (they were frozen to the ground when we could even find them) on slippery ass rock was really really scary and sketchy. If you have ever hiked half dome in the summer you’d know how dicey that actually was.

I feel like these are shot from Man Vs. Wild - Which causes me to wonder if you had to drink your own piss?

Nice, I went there for part of my honeymoon. Watched some Japanese climbers freeze to death on El Cap. Good times.
Stayed at the Ahwahnee.

That is a pretty awesome venture, imagine you brought a pair of ski or a snowboard for the trek down.

I figured that’s why you guys did it when the sun was out, and the birds were chirping. How easy is the departure from the lz?

They had to hike from the LZ back to the van. The LZ looked pretty secluded from what I saw.
