did this a couple weeks ago and decided to take a couple pics…yet another step towards being a z06 wanna-be TA. but i like it. thanks to Bics, Sam, Brian and the guys at JJ’s.

I aint as bad as you think…done a clutch, brake jobs, starters, built a roll cage, and a ton other basic stuff (on other cars of course)
haha. thanks. no, actually steve did the majority of the work plus used his garage. i talked to Sam and the guys up at JJ’s about what rotors to get ect and what all was involved in the conversion but Steve did most of it so he gets props. i’m really happy with the outcome though.

oh really?..thanks for that info.
but anyways. i said z06 wana-be because i wanted the motor converted to a factory ls6, and then i now have z06 wheels and calipers. so thats about all the z06-type mods i can do to it, but i also added the SLP suspension so next up i just have to have Sam put my heads on to fnish my motor.

looks good, i bought ls1 calipers off brian and had them powder coated with camaro ss stickers under the clear.
nice!. ya it doesnt seem like there is much difference in the body of the calipers, so i dunno ho much better the Z06s ones are (if at all) but i’m sure yours look awesome. i’d like to see a pic if u got one.

And yes, the Z06 calipers do look similar but are actually a bit stronger. Under hard road course use the LS1 calipers will spread over time, the Z06 (well I should say C5 calipers because all C5 calipers, Z06 or not, are the same) calipers are less prone to do this. They will too if over-worked enough. But it takes longer and more abuse.
