Anyone know anyone who does this, or does it themselves? I don’t even know if you can rent the equipment for this type of work. I need to insulate the shit out of the new building before any CNC equipment goes in, and I’d like to do this instead of fiberglass due to its ability to completely seal any potential draft areas.
Be aware at some point adam it may need a second go in the near future after the initial spray. It does have a tendency to settle a little bit from what I remember
I know someone must rent the equipment to do it, the lumber yard I used to work at had a cellulose blower they would loan out, maybe try calling Curtis Lumber or another mom & pop hardware/lumber yard to see if they have a spray foam machine to rent or maybe they know of someone that will loan one.
No shit sherlock, I’ve googled a dozen companies online already. I was asking here first as I like to give money to people/businesses I know or of friends/recommended locals before going elsewhere.
I did find a company online that sells DIY closed cell foam kits for this application. Pressurized nitrogen tanks of the material with guns, etc. ~$600 for 600sqft, and it’s all self contained.
This isn’t cheap stuff, averaging about $1.5-$2 per sq foot for an RV of 7(about a 1-1.5" thick layer), but far outweighs the costs with the benefits.
I was there most of the time and never recognized you coming in, so I don’t know why you’d comment on JVG’s pricing. If you’re going by what Pete is saying, well, Pete is cheap as fuck. Except if it has anything to do w/ Buscher.
And if you really thought his prices were high, you most certainly have never been around during the APG days.
