sr20/ka24de alternator compatibility

Would a sr20 alternator work on a ka?

I have read that they both will work… “sr/ka”

  • KA24DE alternator if used on a SR will need the top hole drilled out a few mm & you need to use the SR pulley, not the KA “have read of people using the KA pulley thou”

All the wiring/plugs are said to be the exact same and plug right in.
