stacked frames?

I never said there werent 360’s. I just said theyre junk.

They arent anything like a Chevy 350.

def not as strong as a 350 but if ya take a 318 head and put it on the 360 ya had a hell of a redneck powerhouse though ,i had a 79 d-250 that i bombed threw the woods where i used to live in cossayuna lake

Look at a Dakota RT- little truck with a good sized motor and still slow as shit.

An S10 with a stock 350 would beat one.

i know ,the dodge small blocks suck but the ol school big blocks would haul ass

yeah, 383, 440, 426 are all good

You said that they never came in the barracuda, which, in fact, they did

CRD on here, my friend has the twin of your truck and we put a leveling kit in and he is on 35X12.5R20’s and it doesnt rub at all. He wont be able to comment on the mileage though casue he never drives it! lol But since it sucks ass on gas to begin with I dont see it killing you to loose another mpg or two.

Body lifts arnt stupid. It depends on what you need to do.

There are three ways of looking at a practical lift, not some show truck BS. Axle clearance, suspension travel and chassis clearance.

Body lift will allow bigger tires, so you get axle to ground, and chassis to gound clearance, but you wont gain suspension travel, actually you might loose some.

Suspension lifts You will gain suspension travel and the other clearances, but you will hit the limit on tire sizes even with good suspension kits, then it comes back to a body lift or a hacksaw and fender flares to get bigger tires.

Also body lifts are good for cars that have CV joints in the front. If you drop them too much your will stress the shit out of them and they will fail. Then you get into sub frame drops, and now you just lost axle clearance again. At that point a body lift would be good if you just want to get some bigger tires under there to gain clearance.

body lifts are just a part of the puzzle. People just knock them casue they are cheap and get you say 3 inches of lift. So people e-thug and are like your a cheap fucker I just spend $700 on my 3" lift I must be better than you…

I went to Paragon one time and this guy put a 2.5" body lift in a stock TJ rubicon, and put 33’s under it. Be went everywhere and then some as compaired to the BDS 3" spring shock combo TJ’s and he only spent $100. Cant knock that.

My last Isuzu Amigo had a 3" body and 2.5" lift on the torsion and custom shackles. Cost me less the $100 and cleared 33’s with no problem.

Zackly.

You were after axle pumpkin and rocker clearance. Not some super flexy suspension. Body lifts ftw.

My uncle had an old 90 something ranger with a 3 inch body lift and 31’s. that thing was a death trap with the old camper shell in the bed! lol fun times

Body lifts look ghetto with the big gaps and bumpers that dont line up.

Id rather have a suspension lift. Im not all about running 44’s on a truck that wont see dirt.

Ive seen CRD’s truck when we went riding together. It does look really good. Im thinking of a 2" leveling kit because I dont want or need bigger tires and I just want to get rid of the nose down look.

Right now Im getting 12-15 mpg and driving 300+ miles a week so I dont want to lose any gas mileage.

Yeah I hear you on the ghetto body lifts that dont come with or they didnt fab up bumper brackets.

12-15 does blow I hear you on that man. My jeep dead stock got about 18-20 highway with the 3.7L After the 5" lift and 33’s and the light bar with 4 un aerodynamic 5" dia lights, I got about 16mpg MAX. lol
