would a 93 solenoid work with the 89 starter need help dont wanna buy anoter one can anyone help

from what i understand there different motors in the dohc and sohc aswell as gearing.

but what about the solenoid one is plast and the other one is like a peace of metal
ihave used both kinds on my dohc either one works
