my s2000 has EPS :gotme:
Great discussion guys!!!
Unfortunately the future of the automobile will be decided by the masses, who rather nap than drive (that is me in the early morning travelling to work tbh). So long as I can drive my “classic” through the automated mess, I would not oppose!
This steer by wire is definitely geared towards the future of fully automated vehicles. The only economical benefit I can think of, is less wear on mechanic components like tie rod ends? Instant alignments?
Pass. For now at least…
Adding to this. My civic si has it. I didn’t even no it was electronic until it had to be replaced.
I didn’t even notice a diference. It was very smooth and I still felt the road perfectly. And when it was defective it just felt like there was no assist. It was easy to turn but it never spun back. Obviously it was impossible to drive at high speeds but normal dd it wasn’t to bad. I have used other systems before and it really wasn’t that bad. But I understand this.
