So, the 4 of us went for training on Monday and like a few people called on that Viper… it was a dyno whore and nothing else! It put down 280hp. :spank:
They had the Viper on the dyno we were training on and took us all through the layout of the program, the calibration, what does what etc.
This dyno is pretty sophisticated. If we wanted to… we could take a big-ass turbo diesel truck and simulate it towing a 6,000 pound trailer… up a hill.
So many cool features. They took us all through the (at least) 3 building facility and showed us a few of their projects including a massive dynamometer for the Chinese Government, a 7.2 million dollar gov. funded, walk-through engine/transmission dyno for our guys in Iraq to test their equipment.
The rollers on our dyno are about a foot in diameter… they had some going to California for research that were about 6-7 feet in diameter.
It was humbling to say the least that THIS company made our machine. And somehow I didn’t see the tractor trailer on the dyno but everyone else saw.
None-the-less, we had a great time and the ETA for delivery is FRIDAY February 6th!!
Our shop now is 2500 sq. ft. and the bay to the right of us just became vacant… Soooo… We now have 5000 sq feet available- and a paint booth.
The next few months are going to be critical for our business decisions. We have to keep in mind we are sharing this massive METAL building with other businesses (including competition cheerleaders right next door) How much are they going to appreciate a dyno running while trying to do their routine?
So we have alot of options available to us and anything is being considered (Henrietta cough*cough) But who knows.
I have been insanely busy adding Subaru, Honda, 3000GT, 350Z, and SRT-4 to our website and working 5 nights a week at the bar in Rush. Doing just online sales for Evo and DSM and a few jobs locally pays the bills and we get to work on and race what we love, but with the addition of this machine, we have no choice but to become much bigger than that. Subaru page is off to a great start, hopefully by the end of the week, I might have enough to announce officially that we have it, but not quite yet as a few categories are still empty.
All I can say is we have only officially been in business for 2 years and I am astounded at where we are today.
And we would be nothing without all of you. Thank you all so much for the continued support!
