Evano does lovely work.

no pictures of my car there either :frowning:

Haha that’s because I came there straight from rallying it :stuck_out_tongue:

I know what you mean though, dirty wheels, dirty car, open downpipes!

I mean, it used to be clean! :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree with the people looking for dyno numbers. The reason I went to a dyno day was so I would have some numbers to compare to. My one random number doesn’t tell me alot with all the variations between dynos, weather, and other factors. Lots of cool cars though and good fun. My white S4 did 335whp and 350wtq. Full cats and exhaust. Nice to compare it to Bart’s S4 with no cats (350whp, 400wtq). Makes me want to get test pipes( for off road use only of course). Anyone else feel like posting dyno numbers I would appreciate it, or you could PM me if you don’t want them all over the boards.

It’s not just the cats though. You should sell your AWE fueling kit and pick up SSP’s. It’s a much more aggressive tune and 60lb injectors vs 42lb injectors that the AWE kit comes with.

you didnt see it at the dyno day…

Like i said… i liked his car, when it was put together… but at the dyno day it looked unfinished… thats all

I would be upset about going to a dyno day and not seeing what any of the cars put down. Thats the fun part of going to an event like this. If people want to be sneaky about what they put down dont bring your car to a dyno day. People like that schedule private appointments.

Posting dyno #s is not something people get offended about, and if they do they are retarded.

LMAO at all the haters on the dyno. so is your AWD dyno in buffalo still in the works? lol

numbers are useless to me. its what the car runs at the track that matters or how it runs against another car. comparing dyno numbers between different dynos/shops is about as cool as bench racing.

Mustang dynos are the Honda owner’s worst enemy

why is that?? if anything, if someone got tuned on it and ran WAY better times than they thought than whats the problem in that?

That is great when that happens, unfortunately, most people want high dyno numbers, so when they expect 350+, and get 190, they get so sad

and when they put down 300 and race a car that they should lose to and they win then who really cares lol, and its not just honda’s that have that problem bud

As an engineer and a mechanic who likes things to be “right” I have trouble grappling with the concept of buying an expensive measurement tool that doesn’t measure accurately.

A dynapack and mustang dyno are both very expensive. Ft-lbs of torque is a quantifiable unit. Why does one read 30% lower than the other.

I’m not saying emery’s is wrong. Just that SOMETHING isn’t right.

You say numbers are useless… what if a track had a trapping system that read slower than another place? wouldn’t that make you mad?

Or are you only racing the guy next to you?

^^^ was confused by it also, but no one can ever offer an explaination, or will say its because weather (even though the dyno is supposed to correct for these factors)

Does the dynopack take into account the weight of your wheels/tires that are not on there? Do they weigh each person’s wheels and tires so they can get it accurate? All of that would adjust the dyno reading.

I dont think its off at all. As many of you know they can be calibrated many different ways. I personally like the way it was set up right from mustang. Infact, the cars we brought to the track actually lined up quite well with the numbers the dyno spit out.

As far as us not posting number goes, Thats just a bad statement. We had two screens that said what each car put down and all anyone had to do is walk 10 feet to see them. Not once, Did we kick anyone out of the dyno room between runs.

For those of you who were not there, you wouldnt know, but we have the computer screen and a 32inch flat screen on the wall for people to view…

so weight that is supported on the side is not equal to weight that is supported from the base? your argument makes no sense.

i’m not arguing against the dyno, just commenting on that statement

What? Whos argument doesnt make any sense?

Over 200 lbs of unsprung weight is not being accounted for on a dynapack
