STM Stock block Evo....BLOWS UP!

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/STMs-StockBlock-Evo-RICER_187598.htm

:eek :wow Wait til the end, crazy.

Ahh the death bleed at the end is great. Front mount 40R FTW, stock 4g63 rods FTL

Seriously though, any block that can hold 450+AWHP stock is good in my books. Probably failed due to excessive RPMS vs too much power. Evo8/9 rods have been proven to hold over 550 wheel stock, but really suck at tensile strength above 8K rpms…

wow :ohnoes

450 is weaksauce.

6g72dett owners need not apply to that theory, along with you 2jz and M64T owners. You and your superman stock bottom ends :cool

that looks like an HTA comp cover… either way 4G’s are nasty stock bottom ends… my friend was doing 430awhp on pump/meth on stock evo 8 block. not too shabby i say

Yeah, ringed antisurge groove cut into lip…good eye there.

guys are consistently running 450-5wheel on stock bottom ends in these cars if they stay under 7500 rpms. Revs are what kill rods and rod bolts in these motors. But yea, super strong stuff right out of the box.

Friggin 2 TONS make it necessary :frowning:

WOW

thats crazy… rods all over the place

Car had 40k miles of abuse. Id say its impressive

i dont know much, but i know that’s probably not good. :tong

i saw this car hot lapping pass after pass in ohio. 10.1-10.0 @ 140+mph easily 5-6 passes without stopping, in addition to all the passes it made in competition that day. i believe they are using a 35r or 37r HTA but dont quote me on that. that engine has held up to some serious abuse. a girl owns the car too.

was she hot. pics of said girl!

pics or ban. sorry dont have any. shes pretty damn hot.

ddddammnn

STM has been abusing this block with just ARP headstuds for almost 4 years. i’d say its pretty damn impressive. apparently she missed 2nd at 9k.

a couple more hello kitties and she’ll be all better :hug

wow even OEM rod bolts. alot of the guys running “stock bottom ends” use ARP rod bolts with the stock rods, pistons and bearings… and like you said, that car has been around getting beat for a while now.

correct

looks like someone fed that connecting rod to their dog.

:lol at the hello kitty bandaide

hahahhaa
