what does it take to make an atv street legal in NY ?
ive always wondered if it was possible to build something like this and register it, whats the line between car, atv and motorcycle ?
lets say you built a 4 wheel motorcycle like the dodge tomahawk, the wheels are right next to each other, and falls over w/o a kick stand, so is it still a motorcycle i guess
but what if you space the wheels and still ride on top (like quadrazuma), is it an ATV or motorcycle?
id so build a quadrazuma out of a high power sport bike, the vin # would make it much easier to register … all you did was change the wheel count …

We will see how much the kit costs. Im pretty sure it has to be a three wheel bike in NY. But its a start.

I would love a street quad, it’s kinda like a safer version of a bike. I bet that a tuner parts market would explode for those things.
whats the point of a damper on a 4 wheeled vehicle… im sure the gpr helps alot in preventing head shake with those huge wheels :roll:
ny state plates come with properly registering an ATV for OFFROAD use, plates dont mean it can be used as daily street transportation
and anything less then 70 inches wide and 1000 pounds consititutes a atv
