STRETCH Micro Suede

I am looking to do some “customizing” in a car for a friend (door panels, sub box etc.) and I want to know where I can find this stuff? I cant find it online or anywhere else for crap. Looking to see if anyone had an idea where I can find it either way. Not looking for a specific color. Just seeing if I can find it.

If you know a place please let me know.

Thanks,

Nick

JoAnn Fabrics…

that’d be my guess

joann doesnt have it. you cant really find it local. try kustom workz, SCAP, Underground ETC

That’s where i picked mine up awhile back.
GL finding it locally.

Locally I know I won’t find it. It has to be online. I bought some stuff awhile ago and did some door panels for some people. I want to get more into it and do side panels and stuff but the curvature in some of the panels is just too much and therefore the suede sold at joann fabrics wont do the job. If anyone knows where I can find it other then the customizing shops in town PLMK.

Thanks

I have purchased black microsuede at JoAnn Fabrics before. They have it. And it worked great on my interior. LAFENGAS has also used the microsuede from JoAnns before IIRC.

I tried to cover door panels with 3 different types of stuff from joann fabrics. it’s not the right stuff but will work if you don’t have any complex curves. The stuff that automotive shops use is a lot better and will hold more complex curves.

FWS has all sorts of fabric… marine grade to car grade to whatever… alot of colors too… good luck

X2

We bought 2 rolls from JoAnns when I worked at Stereo Advantage, because it was cheaper than ordering from Metra.

I too have purchased micro suede from JoAnns but I am looking for the stretch kind to get over bumps and curves without it bunching up. I have used it to do door panels and headliners and a few other things but some things are way too curvy and bumpy in spots and the one that they sell at JoAnn’s doesn’t work well for that.

Word, gotcha.

That shit from joan’s gets RAPED by the sun.

^UV Blocker. It comes in a spray bottle and is meant to be used for fabrics.

JoAnne’s does have what you’re looking for. But you’ll be hard pressed to find black other then during Halloween season. Yes, i have used the “Stretchy” kind and have purchased it from JoAnnes.

there are many different kinds of microsuede…don’t rule the entire store out because the first one you grabbed didn’t suit your needs.
