so i just picked this up yesterday. its a ef hatch with a ls swap but blown up. it has apc racing seats and 17s which are already sold. coilovers and a exhaust. im going to be ripping the car apart because the kid that own this previous really destroyed alot. the plans are to put another ls in,partial wire tuck, tint out the rear windows, boost, im keeping it orange but doing a camo scheme with it. well on to the pictures.
the first few pics are how it was when it was brought home. it was filled with junk so all i really got to do was clean the inside out alittle take some stuff off and get it ready to be cleaned inside and out and prep it for the new motor. i am debating on just throwing in a ls and boosting it or doing a all motor ls/vtec or just a gsr or b16 and going all motor. any useful input or opinions welcome.
if i can get enough money for it im going to or if somone will trade me there stock stuff plus some cash for sure. more than likely throwing it on craigslist and hoping it goes…
I saw some hillbilly drivin that car last year at Millerstown Pick a Part… The very first thing you should probably do is ditch the space ship tail lights and yucky body kit.
hahaha…i actually live about 2 miles from there. the kid blew the motor and it has been sitting i got it for a good deal. i have all the stock taillights besides the center one. and again im going to be ditching the body kit soon im not real worried because im not goign to be driving the car till its done to how i want it. and i have a truck to drive so im not it a rush. it will be a slow build unless i can start finding the parts i need for a good price
so the more i think about it the cleaning up is going to be alot more than i planned. ignition is gone for some odd reason. and the wiring is hacked up bad so more than likely im going to be buying a whole harness,ignition or push button,rear bumper,front bumper,windsheild and hood( hood flew up while towing it home bent the hood bad and broke the windsheild) motor, axles, and a exhaust which was destroyed on the tow home also.
Sweet tittyf ucking jesus that thing is super ugly. I appreciate your zealousness to make it right…but I’m thinking you have more work that it may be worth to restore it at all. If I may ask…how much did it run you? If it is bargain cheap, either make it a 24hr of Lemons car, or go do some impromptu rally-x in it…
i traded my dirtbike for it which local places offered me 300 which it was def worth more but the car is going to be auto crossed and drag really. and alot of the work will be fine. also alot of the wiring parts and little things im either getting for free or trade. i have alot of time for this and i have been wanting another ef for years. honestly it can run with alittle work that is pretty much how it looked when it was running. i just want everything ot be perfect.
