this is just a feeler. i’m looking for a 2.5 SOHC to go in my 01 2.5RS. my engine has rod knock, barring any major internal breakage, i was quoted about 2000 to get it rebuilt, and a descent reman was up to about 4000. so i’m slowly looking around for something used in useable condition that i can just drop in. thanks.
What is your budget? and what are you looking for miles wise?
idk. probably around $700 max for a used motor, reasonable milage, maybe 100k or less. unless someone has a good deal on a turbo swap or something fun i’ll just stick with the stock setup.
