he’s going by GVW… which means gross vehicle weight. Which is the maximum payload the vehicle can hold. (Full passengers/cargo/tank of gas).
The state laws, that state no vehicle over 6000lbs, means curb weight. He needs to recheck his definitions
Curb weight which is the vehicle’s actually unladen weight
an H2 has to be damn close, if not over 6000, on curb weight.
The H2, Suburban, and Excursion are over 6000lbs curb. There are more too… but if we were to outlaw the Suburban, what would most government officials ride around in?
But the Denali, Escalade, Expedition, Navigator etc are definitely not 6000lb vehicles.

it just pisses me off that we have our testicles in a bunch over gas cresting $2/gallon, but these cuntrags continue driving tanks to the grocery store and their kids’ soccer matches. BUY FUCKING WAGONS, YOU TWATS! Don’t get me wrong: SUVs do fill some people’s legitimate needs…but, for every person who genuinely needs an SUV, there are 49 trendy cumdumpsters who just don’t think they’d look cool in a minivan. Fuck those assholes. I’m going to do donuts with the AC on in my 30mpg Prizm when gas goes to $8/gallon and they can’t afford to leave the house.
as much as we hate our politicians… even they shouldnt have to ride around in dodges
I’d be in the same boat… thank god i get in the 20’smpg wise on the highway, but in boost it sucks lol
Actually, those signs refer to GVWR, if you look in that article one of the signs it shows clearly states “Gross” on it. And many of the large trucks/SUVs are over 6k lbs. curb anyway.

All you tree huggers can suck me and my suv :finger: …on a side note I’m thinkn about buying a hybrid next.
What cracks me up is the people who bitch and whine about gas prices, yet I see them all flying down the parkway at 80mph in their SUV’s. Do people have no idea about speed vs. mpg?? I squeezed 29 mpg (usually I get like 22mpg) out of my cavalier once just by driving 60 on the parkway on my way to work as opposed to 75 - 80.
full tank of gas $30, driving to cincy 4.5 hrs, doing 80mph + = priceless
i still managed to get 21 mpg :booty:
80 mph i got like 20mpg 75 mph i got like 26 :dunno: at one point i was getting like 30+.
most suv’s get the same mileage as the new minivan’s
comparison
and all this talk of gas mileage is pointless, just go get a v6 camaro and get 45mpg like slowcamaro. :D:D:D
you have a stupid modular motor DOHC :slap: and doesnt have 145,000 on it :finger:
well check gas milage tomorrow…driving to lancaster…
