Curb weight ugh

I apparently grossly miscalculated my weight. I thought mine was 4200-4300 or so, nuh-uh! 5100+ lbs! HOLY CRAP! split 2700/2500 front/back. YARG! so gettin 22-23mpg is GREAT for me apparently. I’m gonna throw in like 250 pounds of audio and insulation in and yea, we’ve got a tank. Its like driving a civic, with a civic in its trunk. cripes!
what’s your car?

5100LBS with 6 people in your car.

ill take a pic of that sticker in my door jamb

Gross weight not curb weight. My giant SUV weighs 5400lbs. Race car weighs 2700lbs.

Correct.

Shawn’s car weighs 7400lbs.

3000gt is 7000+ pounds?

yep, thats your gvwr that your looking at gross vehicle weight rated, its tell you what weight the vehicle was designed to safely carry. On the scale my truck weighs 7800, the Gvwr is 9200#

the gvwr of a 3si is around 4100 i think

7800? wow. whats ur mpg?

20-26 mpg, i have got about 18-19 towing 10k#+ too

Do a google search to find the actual weight of you car. Add on your weight and the other shit you keep in the car. Weight of gas is easy math too.

at 60 degrees gas is about 6.1# per gallon
diesel 7.1# per gallon @ 60 degrees
water 8.3# per gallon

“what weight issues?”, says Honda

:bowdown that s2000 is sick!

with a full tank and in my current configuration my car is about 2850lb No driver.
on a half tank, with the stock turbo and hardware(and airbag steering wheel) my car was 2800… not light, but not as heavy as people think.

too bad i dont like doing math

no need to do math, go to a scale.
