AHHHH SHIT
Pros:
Very popular street bike, tons of mods and race parts/goodies due to the bike being a very popular bike in club racing. Low entery price, cheap to operate and good on gas.
Cons:
Stock suspension is sub par, unbalanced in stock trim for any rider weight, non adjustable and untuneable. Ask me how I know…:rofl
Don’t forget to factor in the cost of good riding gear. Enjoy!!:thumbup
If you do decide to buy one I have a 07 SV650S for sale, PM me. It’s the deep red with, if memory serves, about 8000 miles on it. It has no chin fairing so it looks just like the one Vlad posted other than the color.
I just rode the N for the first time this year.
:wow
I forgot how much fun this thing was. World of difference from the DRZ.
Riding this for the next month prolly and then switching again, variety! :thumbup
Cheap 1 Gen on CL, this would make a great commuter ride, project bike or a good base for race/track bike.

Not naked, but if he goes down to $2k cash could be worth a deal.
Plus you buy a 2nd Gen round headlight, sell the stock upper fairing and headlight and make a bit of money off that and look like a cheap mans Ducati with the 1st gens tubular frame.
My sv650 was more fun than my current bike and my gsxr. Prolly cuz you could go wide open and stay in control of it and actually learn to turn aggressively without worrying about the tire always breaking loose. If you SLAMMED the gas it would lift straight up…but if you eased on it in any gear the front would stay flat for me. I wish I kept that bike.
