Maybe he wanted to blow up Canada because of the way he was treated on Canadian Idol, lol. The judges didn’t even give him extra props when he said he was from Pakistan either… Maybe they knew he was really born in Montreal?

The RCMP or CSIS has arrested and then released other suspected terrorists before… pretty sure half or more than half of the 17 or so kids arrested in the GTA were let go… actually, it might have been almost all of them.
They must have known this guy was on idol with a laughable performance. To me this just marginalizes the notion of terrorism when you have videos of them goofing off on TV like that.
Better off not even making the arrest public or not arresting him at all since he obviously hasnt carried out anything of significance
I was reading a report saying how successful the RCMP has been and the Toronto 18 was one of them. Sounds like something must have happened;

isn’t that craftily worded… confessions = agreed statement of facts, not “I did it”, instead “yeah i okay that’s true” about ‘something’.
and convictions of ‘many’ of the accused.
i recall officers involved being pretty adimant that they had done service to the public as if there were significant doubts about it. Also recall hearing something of investigators actually pretending to be other people and coercing statements out of the individuals, pre-arrest, by way of msn messenger or simiilar… bordering on entrapment… Either way, they were a bunch of kids as i recall…
