Hey, one other thing…with the hood raised like that doesn’t heavy rainfall run into the engine bay? Or does the rubber lining pick up enough of the slack…?
I definitely want to do this mod if it won’t get my engine bay wet…
I think he said he took out the rubber lining to give him 2" extra space for ehat dissipation…so im guessing either he lets the water get in there…or he doesnt drive in teh rain…
Good point. Yeah, it does sound like the bay would get soaked, doesn’t it? :?

the water will channel down since theres still “gutters” on either side. Whatever doesnt spill out to the front will fall down the inside of the fender. The engine block wont get wet unless theres a tropical storm taking place and it’s raining sideways.
I’m sure my engine gets a bit damp but i’ve NEVER had a problem during heavy rain storms.
Edit* I’ve had this mod for more then a year and my car has seen many snow and rain storms in that time!
Great, thanks for the info!
Let me know if you’ve got any interesting tips or whatever, I may get to doing this next week.
Cheers.
i think i spent the time to do a quick write up when i had a cardomain page…

yeah dont get me wrong guys I think the wheels look good - I was just giving my input. To me the hanabi’s give more of a rugged feel and the rest of the car is done more cleanly/classy. Some classy wheels and I think it would be the hottest zenki around. Head and Walter must now battle for hottest zenki.
