Names like “Pro Audio” and “Studio Monitor” are buzzwords for wannabe HiFi. Especially with a dual 8"/1" tweet setup… these are floorstanders. PA speakers will have a horn anyways.
Still, probably not a bad deal if you can score them for under $200/pair
Unfortunately a mismatched pair of speakers is like two left shoes. I don’t see anyone wanting to give you $150 for it… I’d say your best bet is to contact the manufacturer and get a new one.
Well whoever wants it for parts or whatever… My asking price is $150 or best offer. But like I said, if you’re interested then PM me and I can send you pictures.
Quality seems better than the Jensen towers I used to have in my room, but that’s not saying a whole lot. However, they don’t look to be anywhere near the quality of my Athena S3s. Considering that it’s only ONE speaker, as an audio enthusiast, I can’t reccomend this purchase to anyone, unless you own a second identical speaker.
Yeah those are the furthest thing from a studio monitor. Get some Tannoy’s and we’ll talk.
On a side note, my buddy got the $200 deal for speakers out of the white van haha. He’s had them for over 2 years and has never used them, not once. Can’t even get rid of them on ebay. It’s funny, because at the time I was so pissed off that I missed out on the deal becuase he told me come right now, and I couldn’t. Sucker
Tannoy’s are good speakers. Good value too, they sound like speakers twice their price. They’re still outta my price range thou lol. I was originally looking at the Infinity Interlude floorstanders, but the line got discontinued at just the right time to screw me over, and I ended up having to look around for speakers. Read some reviews, went over to listen to the Athenas at 2001 and they sounded wicked even on the mediocre amp they were on. On my Rotel, they are absolute sick-ness, I can guarantee they sound better than what’s being sold here. Unfortunately, they are still well below what can be considered a true studio-monitor.
