I dident say anything about a yellow light?
And you can get pull over for going through a yellow light if the cop feels it warrents it…

Well if you go under the yellow, and he is behind you, that tells me he went under the red light, and if he didnt have his lights flashing prior too… that would be very unsafe for the general public.
maybe tell him that when he comes to the window! lol :nana
\
And then any possiblity of you getting off just went out the window. Cops can do whatever the fuck they want, weather the law states the can or not, its your word against theirs…
yeah but if you are legit, and can accept the consiquences. it would be worth it to fuck with them. I figure one day odds are 1-10 cops are such loose cannons, I might get punched in the face, or shot (hope I survive) by a cop. I will sue the living shit out of them and be rich bitch! :giggedy
A good theory till the judge asks you to prove you werent using a different phone. Are you willing to hand your phone over to the officer as evidence till your trial?
If you casued a 1,902,009,1 car pile up that killed cute babies, fuzzy animals, and casued global warming, sure maybe so. But if you were the average joe cellphone ticketed dude, the judge will look at the guy coming prepaired to trial, with his cell phone statments and a logical explination and help you out.
Or in Iraq.
Doesn’t ford offer that Sync program that displays your text messages on the screen of the radio? What happens when you use that?
Maybe so but I am just pointing out a major loophole so the courts will pretty much always be able to collect money from you. I personally do not text and drive because it is unsafe but you have to realize that there are dumb people on the road and you are at thier mercy every time you use the convienience of a car. Someone earlier said it well we are all being punished for the actions of a few idiots.
Not to mention its now wintertime…
Little fuck up are 10x more likely to happen now that people are like OMG SNOW I DUNNO HOW TO DRIVE ANYMORE
I text and drive all the time. I used to do it more when I had a real keypad. My new instinct has a touch screen so it’s much harder since I really have no point of reference for which letter is where exactly.
And I don’t think I’m lying or exagerating when I say I’m still a better driver than many people who just drive (while doing nothing else). Every driver is different…you can’t say all drivers who text are bad drivers while texting because 100 of them were. Did you know it’s also said that you shouldn’t listen to music because it can interfere with your driving? It’s a bunch of crap.
These kind of laws are retarded. Bad drivers are bad drivers, taking away their phone privileges won’t make them any better. This is just another way for the county/state/nation to make money.
Like that douche bag who went 30mph on 9W this morning instead of doing the 55 posted. Dumbass.
I can honestly say that Ive never sent a text message.
I really wish I was able to stop getting them.
I dont need a deal on Viagra or Cialis.
you are def a moron
comparing listening to music to texting is completely retarded. Not using a hands-free device and texting while driving is illegal cause it takes up the use of one of your hands!! de de deeee! Music doesn’t.
Good job on judging a driver you have never driven with.
I just told you what I read in an article in which tests were done and it was said that ANYTHING happening in your car (even talking to your friend) affects your ability to drive. I disagree. It’s a bunch of crap.
I don’t drive with two hands anyway. Never have (except for my license test). Again, some drivers are better than others. I’ve never lost control of my vehicle, even in my heyday when I did crazy shit like 120+ on the highway, etc. I’ve never been in an accident (other than the time a deer jumped out last second in front of my car on I-87 near exit 24). Some drivers just plain suck…taking away their phone privileges won’t help them. You have to be smart. You have to be able to pay attention very well. When I’m texting, or using my navi…I pay more attention to what’s going on than when I’m just driving.
Ehh Im going to have to agree with gran massa. Theres a lot of things that impair your driving weather you think it does or not. So many things can happen in a split second that you may not realize.
Music impairs your driving in some shape/forum. Say your listeing to your favorite jam, singing along not a care in the world. You check to merge lanes, oh no someone in your blind spot, so you go to turn over… how are you suppose to hear their horn if their honking at you to warn you that your abbout to run into them. Or in an almost everyday occurance, an emergency vehlicle is comming from some direction, how are you supposed to hear them? Not to mention if things go wrong with your car, how are you supposed to hear it? I hate driving with music really loud for all of these reasons.
Now say your texting on your cell phone your doing 80+ in heavy traffic on the thruway. Cant tell you how many times I looked away for a split second and next thing I know I have to jam on my brakes to keep from hitting the person in front of me. Theres so many variables and so many things that can happen in that fraction of a second where you look down to look at your phone.
How many times have you gotten a phone call and felt puzzled by a question or statement, and your thinking hard about what was just said or what your goign to say, and even while your looking ahead your really not paying much attention as you would think. Your reactions are delayed as your mind is concentrating on other things.
I don’t care what anyone says, how good of a driver they or think they are. Every little thing you do that takes even a fraction of a second of though out of driving is dangerous and can cause an accident to happen. Looking at directions, or programming an address in your gps, or even changeing the radio station is a distraction and takes your attention away from the task at hand weather you would like to belive/think it or not. Its been proven time and time again, doing other things while driving is a distraction more than you think it is.
You can sit here and banter on and on abotu hwo you have never gotten into an accident and how your a better driver than most. But while your sitting there doing this and that while your driving, it impairs you weather you think it does or not… really think about it. Can’t tell you how many times i’ve gone to do something or even was just thinking while iw as driving and caugh myself off guard and was like wow even though im looking at the road and i can see whats ahead of me, if someone braked, my reactions would probably be delayed
A few months ago I was on 890 in Schenectady and saw somebody I know and I blew the horn at her but she was texting and didnt notice me at all even though I blew the horn several times. She had her mind and eyes on the cell phone and nothing else apparently.
Music impairs to some degree, especially when changing stations or cd’s. One of my parents’ friend’s son got killed in a car accident because he was changing radio stations.
I never said it doesn’t impare you…but notice most of these ‘accidents’ (keyword: most) that are due to phone usage, etc. are because people were 100% oblivious. Some people multi-task better than others. Those people are probably capable of changing the station, grabbin some change, etc. while driving. Some aren’t. Those are usually the ones that wreck when they get distracted.
This is just another way for the government to make money. That’s all it is. You think they really give a shit if people are on the phone? lol. Right.
’
When the rate of accidents is going up because of talking/texting on the phone, yes I do. Look at the 5 girls that died because their friend that was driving was texting. Look at the train wreck that happend not to long ago and the driver had sent a text message a few seconds before the crash.
:crackup
