The evolution of math

But that can only last so long when the administration and government only care about standardized test scores, not the actual knowledge and the critical/creative thought process. Think outside the box, and you then get labeled as the deadwood teacher.
Our schools are creating memory robots that only learn enough information to show a good test score; to keep the administration and government happy (which filters through to the parents, which there are plenty of morons in that group, as well). And even if the intent of a single teacher is to change the world and create young “thinkers”, there isn’t enough time due to deadlines based on standardized testing.
Especially when there may be a deadwood teacher in the grades before the current teacher gets the kids. Then you have to not only meet your grade’s standardized test expectations, but also make up for basic knowledge that the last teacher didn’t cover… or possibly may have covered in a way to meet their own standardized test expectations, but not enough to advance their thinking skills for the next level.
So, basically, we’re stuck now in a society that doesn’t pay attention to the big picture, and is forced to do do just enough to make it through that year’s testing requirement.

Its definately not.

I went to catholic school kindergarden to 7th grade. After switching public school was much better. The social and learning enviroment was better.

yes it was strict but horrible.
