car market is getting very interesting… muscle car era 2, except the imports are joining in too

although It’s pretty safe to say the new 07 Shelby Cobra, should be over 500hp at the flywheel, probably underrated like crazy like the 03/04 was.

I do not expect Dodge to take this lightly with the new Cobra, and Z06, matching/exceeding the Viper’s HP.

Shelby and SVT said, the 2007 Shelby Cobra, will be the fastest straight line vehicle made for that year, and still put down close to 1g on the skid. So who knows.

the new Z06 is rumored to put down well over 1g, and hit mid 11’s. Which is Ford GT, Ferrari Enzo, Lamborghini Murcielago, and Porsche Carrera GT territory.

im with ya. The facts cant be argued. The old Z06 was always nipping at the heels of the high dollar supercars, but this model runs right with them, for a shitload less money. Its still not near the car that a Enzo/GT/Carrera GT, but performance wise its right there. You’re right, it is the muscle car era 2. And you can thank imports for that. Chevy cant be having compact 4cylinder sedans keeping pace with its namesake.
