It is, but sometimes people react in a hilarious fashion.

Essentially, if you think of “the game” you lose. To play/win “the game” the point is to make others think of it.

Go to the mall some day, stand in a crowded place, and scream “FUCK I LOST THE GAME!” and see how many others say the same.
