you can use winSCP, but have to be on a wifi network. Just need your IP of the phone and whatever port you have setup on your router. Then just use the user name root and password alpine
alternativly, you can download an app from cydia called finder that will let you do shit like that right from the phone
Totalcommander with the tpot addin allows you to browse through the filesystem using the USB connection

ok i go to the part where you download the file and copying it to override the preferences.plist how do you copy it into total commander?? i tried dragging it into there but it would say “access denied on file” did i do something wrong?
i have that file opened in notepad should i just copy what is in note pad from the downloaded file into that file??

Now with my school email account I cant delete emails… When I move a message to the trash I get “Unable to move Message, The message could not be moved to the mailbox trash”. The I have to hit okay and the message returns to my inbox…

all iphones or just the 3g?
I am pretty sure its just the 3G that the baseband update breaks.
Got my Mophie yesterday. Nice piece of hardware, works as advertised. Went about 4.5 hours before the 3G got into it’s own battery. I will test it on a normal workday on Monday.
The other nice thing is that you can charge the iphone with a standard usb cable/dongle with the mophie…no more having to carry around the proprietary apple dongle.
So anything new in the nifty Iphone world? Any luck with the picture messaging yet, or any kool applications out worth giving a try?

Cube is a FPS for the iPhone. Free and hard to get used to but kinda fun. Also been playing Live Poker online which is another Free app.
Waiting for mobile installation 2.2 to be cracked. Rumor is that 2.1 worked but since they updated iTunes, I am waiting to someone patches the 2.2 MI file.
Tried cube earlier and didn’t like it, moves to fast and hard to control
For installing from itunes? Why not just use installous? Or because of syncing?
I have a bunch of stuff on mine (2.2), but had to do a work around to actually get them to run/show up

I know that they’re warning 3G users not to update the baseband as that “could” prevent an onlock in the future. Not sure about 2G
If you’re concerned, try it without updating the baseband via quickpwn

It’s ok… nothing special though. Streetview was added along with a few other features
2G is fine to update. 3G updates the baseband and could potentially fix any hole the dev team saw and is working on so that is why you need to make a custom firmware file that does not upgrade the baseband.
Updating to 2.2 tho does give you ATT 2.9 version on your carrier 
I have an unlocked iPhone that im using with Tmobile. I have the t-zones internet plan but i cant seem to surf the web on my phone. It keeps telling me that it “Could not activate Edge: you are not subscribed to Edge”
any idea how to fix it??
go to cydia and search for T-Zone
