I went to Apple a few times, they just keep giving me new phones.
In on my 3rd, just got it last night… Its jailbroken and running just fine for now. My previous phone was never jailbroken and still had the issue, even after being restored many times, once from another computer, always set up as a new phone.
so i think my home button is starting to not work. sometimes i have to push it 2 or 3 times. its a 8gb 3G. only problem is a cant just take it to at&t bc im using it on T-mobile till my contract is up in a year. what options do i have to try to have apple store replace the phone?
I dont remember Apple asking me for my cell phone number when I go in. I would just make sure its updated and not unlocked or running any hacked software on it before you bring it in. Worth a shot.
I gotta bring my replacement in I got when I went swimming with my last phone. I got like 4 pixels on the screen that are stuck and its annoying. I hope the guy is cool tho and doesnt see the back of it is a little beat up.
my home button used to do that too, I took it to the apple store and all they did was a hard reset on it and told me that it came up fine on the computer.
Honestly, I havent had the problem since and if it does it, i’ll just hard reset it again lol

The ATT store tells you to go to the Apple store for any issues. And the Apple store REQUIRES a ATT sim in the phone for them to do anything about a issue. If youre under warranty, or just out of it, they should help you no problem. You can borrow a SIM from a buddy on ATT and just make sure to not use any data. Dont check mail, open anything, have anything auto check anything, push off… They shouldnt have a issue so long as it has a valid ATT sim in it.
Im 100% sure they will say go away if you dont have a ATT sim, im just not sure if it needs to be a activated sim…

how do you set up filezilla to work with the iphone so i can ssh into it. my other method no longer works now that i updated to windows 7

I just use filezilla everywhere they say SCP, and instead of protocol “SCP” you use SSH in filezilla.

To be honest tho, flash isnt a must have for me. Ya its annoying not being able to watch random embedded movies but its not a big turn off.
Really just look into iFunBox or DiskAid. It allows you to drag and drop files to and from your PC. Install mobile terminal on your iphone and no more needing OpenSSH installed.
