It’s definitely weird, but still very…Killers-ish.
edit- also, everyone who has told me they haven’t liked it has later said it’s grown on them. It’s probably the kind of album you listen to once or twice, leave it alone for a month, then come back to it and love it.
Ok I have heard the growing on me thing, but all I can say is if the entire CD is like their first single off of it (Human) then it must really blow. I have really tried giving that song a chance (they play it on 102.1 a lot) and its just awfull. And I loved the old stuff too btw…
downloaded it yesterday. not what i was expecting at all. big fan of their first two albums but this one just hasnt grown on me enough, not yet that is.
Yeah, I’m not really a big fan of it , to be honest. There are some pretty good songs, but I think Sam’s Town is way more upbeat, and it has less of the echoed microphone voice that I think kinda sucks.
They definitely digressed with this being their worst. Sounds like they went more cold playish. I really enjoyed Hot Fuss especially “Somebody Told Me” and “Jenny Was a Friend of Mine”. Sam’s Town, really didn’t do it for me, and this new one is um…different. Not in a good way.
So I guess if you love Hot Fuss, and not Sam’s Town so much, Day & Age isn’t for you. I personally can’t stop listening to it; it’s that fucking awesome.
