The list of companies NOT to give your money to - feel free to add

hi-flo turbo: hahahaha. 1 year late on delivery, 20 deposits taken a year ago, (3400$), im the only one with a complete kit…noone knows what the future or present is looking like with this company…or if the rest of these guys will get the remainder of their parts (for those who even got part so far)

hey…at least i didnt get boned…

Not true at all. You have no idea the ammount of work and development that went into these things. They aren’t an off the shelf rubber mud flap like you can pick up at autozone. He played around with different materials and chemical combinations for months until he found the perfect one. They aren’t shady by any means. Not to mention the logo is hot stamped on them, it’s not just a cheap sticker or paint that will flake off over time. They are truely a quality product.
When Primative was charging $120 for their ‘custom cut’ rubber slabs I will say that it was a rip off.

The only company I have had a real poor experience was ScoobySport North America or www.rallyperformance.com. They sent me a refund check after months of asking where it was. When I finally went to cash it, it bounced. The 2 products I ordered from them came in damaged.

HSBC bank, high fees unless you depostit more tha $10,000 and change fee structure after you open an account with them.

HSBC ONline Savings Roxors for me. <–

Mobil- gas stations.

Starbucks- Overpriced

:wstupid:

NYSpeed

Anyone who puts a large amount of work and development into the chemical composition of MUD FLAPS is shady by default.

And the Vision dealers in Rochester. Sadly, I worked for them for a while, not a good place to do business.

They were a big ripoff back when they were still calling themselves Marine Midland. I had a checking account with them in college and they used to hit me with insufficient balance fees every month. I heard of others who actually had their account totally emptied by such fees. So it looks like they have not changed their policies.

Custom Radio: Had new speakers installed on my old saturn. They put 3 large cracks on my inside door panel when they took it off, claimed it was unavoidable when trying to remove the panel and refused to pay any damages.

Bittermans Automotive: Sold me a 96 beretta with no oil in it, cracked the block. Car also let water in from the outside through the lower vents.

Eclipse Tint on Main st: Bubbles in tint, dumbass folded the inner rubber molding on the passenger side window down. As soon as I rolled down the window it put streaks in the tint, which according to the asshole on the phone are not covered under warrenty(sp).

HSBC bank: checking account number did not match the number on my checks. Was issued over $200 in fines due to bounced checks, which HSBC refused to reimburse. With M&T now and love it.

:word:

did a piss poor job on an install on my old rx7. dont have time to elaborate now.

Competition Transmission on Main St in North Tonawanda. Had $1600 of trans work that took almost 3 weeks because ''the parts havent come in yet, i dont know when theyre getting here" then a mysterious $800 purchase from hp.com 2 days after i paid them with that same CC, luckily the cc company notified me and stopped payment.

the metal used is of very poor chinese quality, and the welds crack over a short period of time. the ceramic coating is garbage and changes color on almost a daily basis until it all burns off leaving you with some shitty looking manifold

Borla-how the worse flanges ever on SBC headers, but the best flow. the collector gaskets go about once a year, and than they want $35 per gasket for the replacements

Ryobi- all their cordless tools are more like toys. Cheap and disposible is the best way to describe their products.

They don’t backpurge prior to welding, they just have monkeys grind off the contaminated back area, AKA those nice die grinder marks in the tubes have little to do with blending, and everything to do with fucking you. I can explain more, but all in all, they are complete shit, and i’ve repaired 5 sets, all with VERY extensive cracking.

Corby’s Collision - Rochester NY

You can do a search (I believe it’s on here) on what happened, used them for years and suddenly new management (some punk kid) decides to try and fuck with me/my car. Needless to say, I wont go back.

Good thread.

rx7store- overall poor customer service

forcedfab.com - ripped a bunch of people on exhaust flanges and are a royal pain to deal with.
