Just wanted to share some video from the Shakedown at E-Town last weekend. I went up with a couple of the MOM’s guys to help out.
Mike in the orange car qualified #7 out of a 74 car field in 8.50 index with a 8.509. In the first elimination round there was a transbrake issue causing a deep stage, (which is not allowed in this class) and it was an automatic redlight taking him out of the game. With no chance of a win, he ran it out the back door to run a 8.39 @ 166!
Also saw Lynch’s vette make a new record pass of 6.26 @ 232MPH ON 10.5" TIRES
Congrads to Mike, that notch is clean enough to eat off the body, engine bay, or the interior. I’d love to see him lay down a low 8 at the invite, although I’m not sure the track will be there for him. It was cool watching him on the live feed.
Wow, an off topic thread gets 5 pages of replies by noon, and news of a low 8-second street car, and new 10.5 record gets only 1 new post all day. Very disappointing NYspeed… Thought this was a car site.
