I just looked up some specs on the C4 ZR-1…

405hp, 385tq.
0-60mph in 4.5
13.2 @ 107mph
181mph top speed

A early 90’s 964 911 Turbo S does similar numbers (with less hp and tq) and looks a ton better with similar prices.

I read up on it just now, apparently the inspection itself is very cheap, but everyone takes it to mechanics for pre-inspection inspection, where they charge you tons for changing everything whether it works or not. I guess people there don’t bother working on their own cars?

if i built another car, itd basically be a c4 with an ls7. even the hardcore vette guys dont have enough balls to run a c4. truth

find me a 964 911 turbo S in the states thats remotely close to the pricing of a C4 Z. and remember in the early 90s 405hp was HUGE(still is big production power) and 4.5 seconds 0-60 is still a number to beat.

love it or hate it, the C4 ZR-1 is still a great example of a Domestic Supercar

The facts you’ve posted are true, but unfortunately the C4 ZR-1’s interior is not up to the standards that Porsche has set. Let’s look at two photographs of the interiors in question and make some notes-

The vette dash is kinda cooler looking, it’s more driver oriented.

The Porsche dash reminds me of a 60’s car

The layout and how everything pointed at the driver in the vette I agree, but theres way to much going on.

Porsche interior is nice, nice clear easy to read gauges, RPM gauge right in the drivers face… simple and clean
