This might help those of you in college

It really sucks when theres a buncha crap you have to read for a class or for a paper or something, right? I know, I wished I could read a lot faster so I can jsut get the boring crap out of the way faster. I stumbled across this…uhhh…i dont even know how. This is a pretty neat thing. I tried it out a couple of times and I managed 300 words per minute pretty well. I’m going to try doing what they suggest in the tutorial. Give this a try with some text. Hell, you might be able to use that to get through one of my enormous posts that occasionally pop up, like in the audio section. What do u guys think?

i don’t get what it’s supposed to do?

it uses that to train u to read faster. the basic idea is to get u to recognize words as shapes, rather than reading actual letters and forming them into syllables and then into words. they flash words at you at the speed u want, till ur used to it and can retain the info. then you do two words at a time, then more and more and more. that way u end up being able to see “the shape” of sentences and percieve them as text rather than reading them. i honestly wouldnt mind being able to realistically read like 200+ wpm. im gonna try to see what the fastest speed is that i can keep up with, then try two words at the same time. the text itself doesnt matter. read whatever, its mainly the repetition of that that would do it for ya.

hmm seems like it could help me because I HATE reading and I’m really slow at it

Actual speed reading isnt hard to learn and worth the time depending on your major.

i read shit 4 times before i understand it, this is why im a math major

same here. i hate to read stuff i HAVE to read, ya know? if could blast my way though things at 200+ wpm, it wouldnt be so frustrating.

Reading doesnt bother me…math does

It dosen’t interfere with your ability to retain and memorize the information you just read?

thats is about the speed a read at now anyway.

This is worthless

Here’s the problem I’ve found. A lot of the stuff you have tor ead is off of a book, packet, etc… So you’d have to type it in there first (thus reading it) and then have it read back to you.

x mutha fuckin’ 2

+1. I never got below a 95 in History/English (lots of reading) in HS or a B in college (mostly creative writing at that point). Math on the other hand…I got B’s in HS and C’s/D’s in college.

i almost flunked every math class i ever took. i just cant do math well.
