I think that the site is probably 50% BS and 50% car stuff (not necessarily tech). Some of the car stuff leaves me scratching my head sometimes but then again I am no expert either and still have alot to learn.
I think the site caters to all car people equally but I have the impression that the majority of people at this site that drive competitively are drag racers. I don’t know much about drag racing and probably never will.
I actually never took the time to put login names to the sponsors though I already knew Jay from Domination Chassis before I signed up for this site. I was pleasantly surprised when I met pewterss and his crew at his shop (I hadn’t actually realized that he had a business and was a sponsor until the day I went). I guess I didn’t pay enough attention. Meeting those guys in person increased my opinion of this site.
With as rabid as things can get so quick here, you will probably never see me argue about anything. I’ll just stop posting in the thread because I rarely see any minds changed on the Internet very often and we have some relatively young, strong minded folk here. I try to throw out some tech here and there and try to find some in return. That’s how I use all sites anyway.
I guess the only negative is the I have to be careful at work and at home about what I click on here - between my boss and my kids, there are always things that could make trouble (often in sigs). But I’m a big boy and can deal with it.
