hey newman, have you considered rg’s? i think they might have some potential on an elise but not so sure if they offer custom pcd’s. saw a blue elise with these on google images so maybe they’re played out too? not sure.
seems like you may be able to find a size/offset too!

id have to say the matte gunmetal (pic one). bronze and white is hard to pull off but usually a brighter gold looks better on white

That will dictate what kind of wacky offset I can run… based on my CAD calculations, I should be able to rock a 18X9.5 ET20 with a 235/40/18 on the rear… 
(Azenis lists that tire as compatible w/ a 9.5" wheel)

At the end of the day, you should just get whatever wheels in whatever colour YOU like best and think looks best on YOUR OWN car.
There’s too many threads about what colour should I paint my car, my room, my bicycle, etc
You have a nice car and even the stock wheels look good. If your main objective of getting new wheels is just for the sake of:
A) I want something that a ton of people don’t already have on there lotus
B) I want some really annoying fitment…
Then you’re trying too hard.
Why spend $2000 to make a $65,000 car look worse? 
When I say annoying fitment, it’s not because i want to annoy anybody… I just want something super aggressive that looks mean, but probably hurts function… I am ok with that… I like the look. I’m a ricer. I love burnouts and drifting. And my personal preference is not to do “tried and true” stuff… just my personality I guess… Especially regarding Lotus tried and true stuff… those guys are no fun at all…
The reason i started this thread was because I LOVE work meisters. After doing that photoshop, I couldn’t believe that I didn’t really dig them, and posted this thread to see if I was INDEED crazy… I was not.
I’m not a wheel snob, as in I don’t know much about wheel brands, this thread has really opened my eyes to a lot of stuff.
I’m pretty sure that my BMW is evidence enough that I am not just out there to align myself with what people think is cool.

I knew what you meant by annoying fitment.
What I don’t get is it seemed like you were already decided on Work Meisters, the only thing you wanted an opinion on was what colour to get.
But then you didn’t get the response you wanted (everyone said the wheels didn’t look good in their opinions) and you no longer want it?
It’s a contradiction to say you don’t want tried and true stuff but at the same time you are allowing people’s pictures of other cars to influence what wheels you now want.
If you really didn’t like them AFTER the Photoshop, you wouldn’t have posted it up for public opinion to decide on which colour looks better.
I’m pretty sure if everyone loved it, you’d already have sent payment for a set of Work Meisters.
My advice is to just actually go ahead with it if you personally like it.
When I got wheels for my car, I didn’t care if people liked it or loved it, in fact a lot of people disliked 3 Spoke wheels. However, I made it work. A lot of people hate my wheels but say that it works with my car. But what really mattered to me was that I liked it.
Being original and different is not about asking for opinions, it’s about doing it and having that self-satisfaction.

I talked about getting meisters forever, they have been and still are my favorite wheel ever (in fact, I got the pic of the meister right from a pic of my old STi)… then I did the photoshop and was surprised… If you really want me to post the aim convos I had w/ my friends, explaining that I was surprised I didn’t like them, I will…
Asking for ideas about what wheels to put on my car is not the same as putting the same toybox/rac monolites/kodiaks that it seems every elise guy puts on his car, that’s what I meant by tried and true… The cars I’m letting influence my decision aren’t even lotus! I doubt I am going to find a wheel that’s never been mounted or photographed on any car ever…

After looking at a bunch of pics of lotus with rims, I kinda feel like lip on the lotus just doesn’t look right in general… the only other way to have an “extreme” look is a lot of concave… so that’s kinda what i’m leaning towards now…

take a look at Kodiak wheels, they have some mega funky shit that very few people have.
I would narrow down the relative sizing first… sounds like you want to go with 17 x 7.5 or wider right?
That’s basically FWD fitment but with some decent clearance for calipers… look through the whole Work catalogue on thier site and see if they have something that sticks out, they have alot more wheels than people usually realize… Also, it should be really easy to find BBS VW fitment wheels… like LM’s or RS’s… look on ebay for some used… bring them in, rip them apart and redo them in some funky colour (pink possibly) and roll with that.
yes, 17 x 7 +28ET BBS RS with polished outters and hot pink centres… or pink centres on black lip
I’m just not really feeling lipped wheels on the lotus… And actually a lot of guys are running kodiaks on lotus… but I’ll check em out…
